Chapter 6
After recovering from that information Kagome said " Well Inu Yasha, I think we
should go find Miroku, Sango and Shippou. We need to talk about the Shikon no
Tama, and what we're going to do after it's complete" "That's a good idea
Kagome. In fact I wanted to talk to you about that as well. I think that we
should...should..." Inu Yasha stopped, unable to continue." You think we should
mate" Kagome finished for him. Inu Yasha nodded but then added quickly "But only
if you want to." Kagome smiled wide " Of coarse I want to mate with you Inu
Yasha." She was hardly able to contain her happiness. *Oh-my-god I just realized
that I can use the Shikon no Tama to become a hanyou like Inu Yasha. Better ask
him what he thinks about that with out seeming obvious.* " Inu Yasha? Would you
love me still if I was a hanyou like you?" Kagome asked worriedly. Inu Yasha
was a little taken back by the question but answered with all seriousness
“Kagome, I would love you no matter what" "Well then, we better go." Kagome said
happily as a plan started to form in her mind. Inu Yasha picked her up and ran
towards the well.
Chapter 7
Miroku and Sango were waiting by the Bone Eaters Well with Shippou and Kirara.
Miroku had thought Inu Yasha and Kagome would have come back by now and he was
starting to get a little worried. Inu Yasha and Kagome came down the path
towards the well. Inu Yasha thought it would be funny for him to freak the monk
out so he yelled “Oi! Monk! What are you waiting for?” Kagome looked at him with
a quizzical look on her face* Does Inu Yasha truly not know that they were there
waiting for them to return from her world? Not knowing that we came back last
night?* Kagome looked at Inu Yasha face, and couldn’t help but smile. He knew.
He was just messing with Miroku. At the sound of Inu Yasha's voice Sango looked
and noticed that they both had happy looks on there faces. “When did you get
here?” Sango asked rather surprised to see them coming in the opposite
direction. “They got here last night” Shippou said surprising everyone. “How
did you know?” Miroku asked, rather surprised at the information Shippou was
saying. “Then why didn’t you say anything?” Sango asked. “You didn’t ask, Miroku
either. So I didn’t say anything” Shippou replied. Inu Yasha chuckled at that a
bit.
“We need to talk” Inu Yasha said after he
stopped chuckling “About the Shikon no Tama” About 20 minutes later the group
decided that no matter what happened, when Naraku died they would stay together.
The group then turned their attention to the Shikon no Tama. Inu Yasha, to
everyone’s surprise thought that Kagome, being the protector and all, should get
it and use it the way she liked, no one objected. When asked why he changed his
mind all the hanyou said was that he didn’t mind being half demon.
Chapter 8
About 3 months later the group fought
Naraku. Kagome had almost died, and after being unconscious for three and a half
days pulled though it to survive. Later, when Kagome and Inu Yasha were alone
she told him that the sheer thought of not being with him was enough to make her
better. Miroku had heard this and went to Sango to tell her. Miroku and Sango
then decided to tell both Kagome and Inu Yasha what was going on between the two
of them.
So when everyone was around the fire that night Miroku and Sango
looked at each other and then looked at everyone else “We love each other!” They
said at the same time. Shippou’s jaw dropped. But Inu Yasha and Kagome just
nodded and said “We know.” Miroku and Sango looked surprised, and then Sango
asked “When did you figure it out?” “When we….Or rather I saw the two of you
under the God tree, I figured as much, and I told Kagome. But we have something
to tell you all as well.” At that Inu Yasha stopped, and Kagome taking the hint
continued for him “We loved each other to.” Once again Shippou’s jaw dropped,
but not as fare “We know” Miroku and Sango said. This time is was Kagome and Inu
Yasha's turn to look surprised. “Oh come on, it’s not like you could hide it
that long, anyways I heard the two of you talking earlier and I told Sango”
Miroku answered.
Night of the new moon
Kagome finally had gotten time to her self and before making her wish she sent her miko power out to sense anyone, she didn’t. “Shikon no Tama, please hear my wish. My wish is to become a dog hanyou like Inu Yasha, and like him have me change into a human on the night of the new moon” Kagome whispered, wishing with all she had. After Kagome finished wishing she became surrounded with a blue and purple glow. When the glowing stopped Kagome looked at herself in the hot spring. She looked the same but she felt somewhat different. * Oh God! Please don’t let Inu Yasha noticed any difference tonight*
Chapter 9
The next morning Kagome woke up before every one else, even Inu Yasha. Kagome
left a note saying that she went to talk a bath and would be back shortly, as
Kagome walked she noticed many new sounds and smells that she wondered how Inu
Yasha dealt with it all. Kagome found the hot spring she was at the night before
and after taking off her clothes went in to take a bath. After Kagome went under
to get use to the water she decided to look at her self in the waters
reflection. Kagome decided to look at her ears since that’s what fascinated her
the most about hanyous it took her a moment to find them since they were
completely black, just like her hair. She smiled and then noticed the fangs in
her mouth and the claws on her hands. After she got out of the water and was
dressing she decided to take a look at her eyes, she took out one of her
compact mirrors and looked at her eyes. They looked the same as normal but when
you looked hard enough you could see the amber that would flash gold when mad
and glow gold in the dark as well.
Kagome was tying her shoes when she heard
Shippou coming up behind her, “ Hi Shippou” Kagome called happily, surprising
the fox demon so much that his heart picked up speed. “Shippou calm down you’re
hurting my ears!” Kagome yelled holding her hands to the top of her head. After
Shippou calmed down and Kagome took her hands off her ears. “How did you know it
was me? The only way you could have known that is if you smelt, and heard me,
and only demons can do that!” Shippou said, a little nervously. “Calm down
Shippou and try to keep your heart beat normal okay? It hurts my ears like crazy
when the sound changes so fast, and Shippou…” Kagome stopped so she could turn
around, “I am a demon, well part demon anyways,” she smiled reveling her fangs,
held up her hands to show him her claws and flicked her ears to show him where
they were.
Chapter 10
“What?” Shippou said surprised. “You can’t be! How?” “With the Shikon no Tama,
I wished it- last night.” Kagome answered.
“But…why?” Shippou asked, “Wait does this mean that you’ll be staying her from
now on?”
“Yes, Shippou I’ll be staying here, but on the new moon I’ll be going back to
see my family and to restock on ramen and everything.” Kagome answered glad to
be off the subject of ‘why’ “ Oh, and Shippou please don’t say anything to
Miroku and Sango about this ok, I’m sure Inu Yasha will notice but, I’ll just
have to ‘sit’ him if he is about to say anything.” Kagome said giggling. “C’mon
Kagome, Inu Yasha probably ‘fehing’ himself senseless wondering where we are.”
Shippou said, and then burst out laughing at the thought.
Back at the campsite
Kagome was smiling quit a bit, and no one but Shippou seemed to know why. Inu Yasha had woken up a little bit after Kagome, read her note and went to go find some meat for breakfast, lunch and possibly dinner. When he got back he sat in the tree behind Kagome wondering weather or no he should scare her. Kagome heard him land in the tree of coarse and wrote a note to Shippou while still talking to Miroku and Sango who hadn’t noticed Inu Yasha at all. After finishing the note to Shippou she gave it to him, got up and left. After Shippou read the note he yelled “Hey! Dog Boy! Go after Kagome she wants to show you something.”
